New York City’s coronavirus crisis exploded Wednesday, claiming 13 clients at Elmhurst Healthcare facility Center in Queens in 24 hours. The toll was so enormous that a cooled truck was parked outside to hold the dead, The New York Times reported.
” It’s apocalyptic,” Dr. Ashley Bray informed the paper.
A declaration from the city’s public medical facility system called Elmhurst “the center of this crisis.”
” It’s the number one priority of our public healthcare facility system right now,” New york city City Health and Hospitals spokesperson Christopher Millers said, per the New York Daily News He included that the “infection continues to take an especially terrible toll on the senior and people with pre-existing conditions.”
