Trump Will Not Be Paying His Aspects To John Lewis At Capitol Hill

Thousands of individuals are expected to visit Capitol Hill to pay aspects to congressman and civil liberties leader John Lewis, but President Donald Trump won’t be one of them.

The president made his comment as he was leaving the White House for North Carolina just as Lewis’ American flag-draped coffin was reaching the Capitol carried by a military honor guard into the rotunda.

Lewis, who passed away July 17 at the age of 80, will be depending on state at the U.S. Capitol up until Thursday’s funeral at Atlanta’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church
