BRAND-NEW DELHI: The government on Monday prohibited as lots of as 59 mobile apps, the majority of them Chinese, including popular ones like TikTok, UC Internet Browser and WeChat.
The relocation comes as stress in between India and China have escalated following the
Galwan Valley clashes
on June 15 that left 20 Indian soldiers dead.
In an official declaration, the ministry of info and technology stated the apps have been prohibited due to several reasons such as security and personal privacy concerns.
