In match number-34 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, England defeated Namibia by 41 runs. In this match played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on 15 June (Saturday), Namibia had to score 126 runs in 10 overs to win under DS rules. But it could score only 84 runs after losing three wickets.

A few hours after England’s victory, Australia defeated Scotland, due to which the English team reached the Super 8. Scotland was out of the Super 8 race. The match between Australia and Scotland was played in St. Lucia. Let us tell you that the Australian team had already reached the Super 8 from Group B.

Harry Brook played a stormy innings

Rain interrupted the match between England and Namibia. In such a situation, the match was only of 10-10 overs. England, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 122 runs for five wickets in 10 overs. Harry Brook scored an unbeaten 47 runs in just 20 balls, which included four fours and two sixes. Jonny Bairstow played an innings of 31 runs in 18 balls. Bairstow hit three fours and two sixes in his innings. Ruben Trumpelman took the maximum of two wickets for Namibia.

England had scored only 122 runs, but Namibia got a revised target of 126 runs to win. The Namibian team could not reach the target even after playing the full 10 overs. Michael van Lingen scored the highest 33 runs in 29 balls, which included three sixes and a four. David Wiese scored 27 runs in 12 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan got one wicket each from England’s side.
