Stuntman passes away in mishap while striving Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai in Chennai

A stuntman passed away when he dropped after a rope snapped while he was carrying out a series for Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai on a set near Vandalur on Saturday.

By Pramod Madhav: A 54- years of age stuntman passed away on the sets of nationwide award winning director Vetrimaaran’s upcoming motion picture ‘Viduthalai’. Suresh, who has actually been a stunt planner for a number of years, was assisting another stunt planner on the film set produced near Vandalur in Chennai.

A grand set of a train wreck was being recorded when Suresh and a couple of others were connected to a rope harness for the stunt series on Saturday. Suresh was protected to a rope held by a crane and as the scene started, the rope snapped. Suresh fell from almost 20 ft high and was hurried to the medical facility where he was stated dead.

Police have actually started an examination into the matter. Director Vetrimaaran, understood for movies like Vada Chennai and Asuran, is yet to make an official declaration on Suresh’s death.
