9 States Sue EPA For Easing Pollution Keeping An Eye On Requirements Throughout Pandemic

WASHINGTON (Reuters)– 9 states on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Epa for unwinding a range of companies’ compliance and tracking requirements with federal clean air and water laws in action to the coronavirus pandemic, arguing the policy is too broad and not transparent.

Under the momentary policy revealed on March 26, the EPA stated it would not look for charges for violations of regular compliance tracking, stability screening, tasting, laboratory analysis, training, and reporting or accreditation obligations in scenarios where the EPA concurs that COVID-19 was the cause.
