MINNEAPOLIS (AP)– Body-camera footage revealed Wednesday from 2 Minneapolis law enforcement officer involved in George Floyd’s arrest recorded a worried and afraid Floyd pleading with the officers in the minutes before his death, saying “I’m not a bad guy!” as they attempted to battle him into a squad car.
” I’m not that kind of guy,” Floyd states as he struggles versus the officers.
A couple of minutes later on, with Floyd now face-down on the street, the video cameras record his fading voice, still sometimes saying, “I can’t breathe” before he goes still.
The recordings from Officers Thomas Lane and J. Kueng are part of the criminal case against them and two other officers in Floyd’s May 25 death. Derek Chauvin, who held his knee versus Floyd’s neck for almost 8 minutes, is charged with second-degree murder.
All four officers were fired a day after Floyd’s death.
The video footage reveals the officers’ view of a death currently extensively seen on a spectator’s cellphone video, which set off turbulent demonstrations
