One of the medical professionals cited in a White House video derided as “ propaganda” by critics of President Donald Trump is safeguarding himself– and offering up a mea culpa for his coronavirus prediction.
Trump on Monday flaunted a campaign-like video of media figures speaking about the COVID-19 hazard, declaring they “decreased” the threat.
One clip featured CBS News factor Dr. David Agus forecasting on Feb. 8 that ” coronavirus is not going to cause a major problem in the United States.”
But Agus, a professor at the University of Southern California’s medical school, responded on Twitter soon afterward that he was speaking based on what he had actually been outlined the country’s capability to evaluate for the infection and capability to quarantine the contaminated:
