FAA concerns ground stop advisory for Alaska Airlines

The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a ground stop advisory on Wednesday for Alaska Airlines, stating: “All Alaska mainline and subcarrier flights ground stopped.” In a different declaration, the FAA stated the provider “asked the FAA to stop briefly the airline company’s mainline departures across the country”. It did not offer a factor for the interruption. CNBC reported that the issue might have been an IT problem which the airline company’s system utilized to determine weight and balance for flights was not working properly. Alaska stated in a declaration: “This early morning we experienced a problem while carrying out an upgrade to the system that determines our weight and balance. A ground stop for all Alaska and Horizon flights was set up at roughly 7.50 am PT. We’re working to fix the concern as rapidly as possible. We excuse the trouble and motivate visitors to inspect the status of their flights on alaskaair.com or the Alaska App prior to heading to the airport.” Reacting to traveler problems on social networks platform X, the airline company stated it was dealing with getting individuals moving as quickly as possible. The FAA advisory stated that flights for SkyWest, which offers local service for Alaska Airlines and others, were left out.
