WASHINGTON– The Federal Air travel Administration is briefly halting flights to New York City-area airports due to the fact that of coronavirus-related staffing concerns at a local air-traffic control center.
In an alert posted online, the agency encouraged air traffic controllers to “stop all departures” to Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark and other airports in the area.
