Lance Heflin, ‘America’s The majority of Desired’ Manufacturer, Passes Away at 67

Lance Heflin, an executive producer on “America’s Many Wanted” and a reporter, has died. He was67
Heflin passed away on Nov. 15, his other half of 40 years Jan Evans published in a declaration on Facebook. Evans did not specify the cause of death but said that it was not associated with the coronavirus which he went quietly with his household by his side. Saturday would have been his 68 th birthday.
” Lance was special to each of us in his own way, bringing joy and laughter to our lives,” Evans wrote. “His work principles and ability to stay calm in the most tight spots were his hallmark, however to his family, he was the person who assisted ground us.”

Heflin was an executive manufacturer on “America’s A lot of Desired” for 20 years and is credited on 423 episodes dating back to 1989, assisting to make the program one of the longest-running in American history with over 1000 episodes prior to being canceled in 2011 (it was ultimately surpassed by “The Simpsons”).
Heflin was born in Independence, Missouri, and is the son of Missouri senator Clarence Heflin. He studied journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and invested his early profession working as a photographer and investigative producer at stations throughout Miami.
He later on transferred to CBS News and produced the news series “48 Hours” as one of the show’s founding manufacturers. He left the show in 1989 to start executive producing “America’s A lot of Wanted” at Fox.

After retiring from the program, he owned and operated at a cafe and winery in Virginia. Some of his other credits consist of “America’s A lot of Desired: Last Justice” and “Manhunter.”.
Evans says that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Heflin’s name to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Kid, a charity he worked with to reunite children with their families, as was regularly done on “America’s The majority of Desired.” There will be no service, however the family will host a “Celebration of Life” in2021
