Policeman in New york city City punished mostly tranquil protesters gathering throughout the city Wednesday in defiance of a curfew.
Thousands of demonstrators marched in Manhattan and Brooklyn during the 3rd night of a citywide curfew amid continuous demonstrations requiring dramatic police reform following the death of George Floyd. The gatherings rapidly escalated as the 8 p.m. restrictions set in, according to local reports.
Jumaane Williams, New york city City’s Public Advocate, shared video footage of policeman strongly moving demonstrators, some utilizing batons, far from a gathering outside Brooklyn Borough Hall. He knocked the administration of New york city City Mayor Expense de Blasio, stating he did not expect the habits after the mayor “entered into workplace promising to reform the kind of aggressive policing I experienced tonight.”

The force utilized on nonviolent protestors was disgusting. Chants of ‘peaceful protest,'” Williams wrote on Twitter.
