Cannes Grand Prix winner Payal Kapadia (“All We Imagine as Light”); U.S. star Tim Blake Nelson; Italian star Luca Marinelli; and Belgian manufacturer Diana Elbaum have actually been hired for jury task by the Locarno Film Festival. The fest’s Pardo Verde Jury, devoted to environment crisis movies, will be comprised of Swiss-Rwandan artist, author, and director Kantarama Gahigiri; French developer and movie critic Cédric Succivalli; and Swiss sustainability advisor, reporter and arts supervisor Daniel Wiener. “It is an incredible opportunity to invite these skilled artists and developers to Locarno and to delegate them with the movies our choice committees handpicked from the thousands that existed to us,” stated Giona A. Nazzaro, Locarno’s creative director. “It is through their innovative gazes that this year’s main choice will be presented to the world.” The 77th edition of Locarno will run Aug. 7-17.
