House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) said Monday she was worried after President Donald Trump declared he had actually taken an unproven anti-malaria drug for weeks in the hopes of preventing COVID-19, pointing to the president’s age and weight and the hazard of major negative effects connected to the treatment.
” He’s our president, and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been authorized by the scientists,” Pelosi told CNN‘s Anderson Cooper on Monday, adding: “Specifically in his age group, and in his, will we state, weight group, what is morbidly overweight, they state.”
” So I believe it is not a great idea.”

Trump said Monday that he had actually been taking dosages of hydroxychloroquine after promoting the drug as a potential treatment for the coronavirus. There is no known proof, however, that it works in COVID-19 cases, and the Fda alerted versus its usage last month other than in official
