Tearful Republican Governor Attacks Political Battle Over COVID-19 Face Masks

North Dakota’s Republican guv issued a heartfelt plea to state citizens not to turn using face masks to safeguard public health in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis into a ” ridiculous dividing line.”

” We’re all in this together, and there’s just one battle we’re battling, which’s the battle of the virus,” Gov. Doug Burgum said at a press instruction Friday.

Burgum said “there must be no mask shaming.” He advised North Dakotans to assume individuals using masks face extra health threats in their lives, or are “trying to take care” of people they enjoy, adding: “Let’s just start there.”
