The Texas Democratic Celebration announced on Tuesday that it prepares to send out citizen registration applications and postage stamps to every Texan wanting to vote in 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic makes in-person get-out-the-vote efforts almost impossible.
Texas is one of 10 specifies that doesn’t currently permit potential voters to register online, meaning they should either send applications face to face or print and mail applications on their own. The state Democratic Party said it created a site, Register Texas, that will allow fans of any celebration to request that an application and a stamp be mailed to them. The application is created to come with a pre-addressed envelope dealt with to each voter’s county clerk, so prospective citizens will just need to drop the application in the mail box to sign up.
