Viral TikTok super star Jen Hanlon AKA Jenay signed up with The Morning Show to demonstrate how to get innovative cooking with among the most inexpensive items at the grocery store – tinned food. See more in the video gamer above Hommus Watch The Morning Show on Channel 7 and stream it totally free on 7plus >> I’ve made this one with tahini since I do not have it and I’ve subbed it out for Greek yogurt, that makes it simpler for individuals to make it if they would just purchase tahini for this. – 1 can chickpeas – 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or tahini – 1/8 cup water – 1 tspn salt – 1 tspn cumin – 1 tspn garlic powder – 1/2 lemon juiced – 2 tbspn olive oil For topping: – drizzle olive oil – Dash paprika – Dash parsley Serve with crackers and so on Add chickpeas, tahini, water, salt, cumin, garlic powder and lemon juice to a food mill or mixer. Mix active ingredients together up until totally blended. Gradually include olive oil up until smooth consistency is attained. Chickpea Salsa Salad – 1 can chickpeas – 1 diced capsicum – 1/2 diced red onion – 4 child cucumbers diced – 1/2 punnet cherry tomatoes diced – 2 sticks celery diced – 1/2 avocado diced – 1/2 can corn – 1 tbspn olive oil – 2 tbspn lemon juice – 1/2 tspn garlic powder – 1/2 tspn paprika – 1/2 tspn cumin – Salt & pepper to taste – Corn chips to serve Rinse and drain chickpeas. Slice all components into consistent pieces about 1cm in size. Mix whatever together in bowl and serve. Barbeque Chickpea Wraps – 1 can chickpeas – 2 tbspn barbeque sauce – 1/2 tspn garlic powder – Salt & pepper – Wrap – Ranch dressing or aioli – Lettuce/baby spinach – Grated cheese – Sliced red onion – Diced bacon (optional) Cook chickpeas with BBQ sauce, garlic powder and salt and pepper in a frying pan up until prepared through and covered in sauce. Include all components to the wrap.
