Student stole two laddus and ate them… Principal expelled her from school after being accused, created ruckus

A serious allegation has been made against the principal of a government school (upper primary school) in Saharanpur, UP. The principal expelled two sisters from the school for stealing two laddus and eating them. The allegation is that his name was also crossed out and a threat was made to write ‘bad character’ in TC. At present, after the matter has gained momentum, BSA has now ordered an investigation. The victim’s family is financially weak.

Actually, the whole matter is from Nakur area of Saharanpur, where on the occasion of Independence Day, the incident of expulsion of two girl students from the school on the charges of stealing laddus has gained momentum. It has been alleged that the school principal, accusing two girl students studying in classes 7 and 8 of stealing laddus, threw them out of the school and also asked for their TC to be given after striking off their names. In this dispute, the father of the girl students says that a daughter was also beaten up.

The incident took place on August 15 when laddus were called for distribution in the school. If some laddus were left, they were kept in the principal’s office. The student told that the children came to school the next day on 16th August. Principal sir was teaching, at the same time after giving work to the children he went to drink water and then some girl students of the class stole the laddus and ate them. Sir blamed me for this and threw me out of the school. When the girl narrated this incident at home, the father reached the school and talked to her, and when things did not work out, he met the SDM etc. and complained.

A victim student told that she had no involvement in the theft, but other girls had committed the theft and she was falsely implicated. The victim told that she had not stolen, but the principal accused her and beat her and expelled her from the school.

two sisters with father

The girl’s father Jasbir Kumar says that his daughters have been implicated in false allegations and now they are being threatened with expulsion from the school. The girl studies in seventh class and her elder sister studies in eighth class. The younger sister was accused of stealing laddus, but along with her, the elder sister was also expelled from the school.

Jasbir Kumar has complained to SDM (Nakud) and demanded investigation into the matter. He said that he was teaching his daughters in this school, but now he will be forced to take TC and teach them somewhere else. He said that despite filing complaints at many places, no proper action has been taken yet.

At present, seeing the seriousness of this incident, the education department has come into action. Saharanpur’s Basic Education Officer Kumari Komal said that this matter has recently come to her notice. On which he has ordered immediate investigation and has instructed the Block Education Officer to talk to the family of the girl students and get them counselled. In the initial investigation, no concrete evidence of laddu theft has been found, but the matter is being thoroughly investigated.

However, this incident has raised questions on the functioning of the education system and school administration in the local area. Due to the principal being admitted to the hospital, he could not be contacted directly. There is anger in the family and local society due to this entire episode. They want the truth to come out and action should be taken against the culprits.
