The marathon occasion is being curated in cooperation with Woman Gaga.
A star-studded concert is happening later to support frontline employees tackling the coronavirus break out.
The One World: Together At Home show will see more than 100 artists including the Rolling Stones and Billie Eilish play live from their houses.
Lady Gaga, who assisted arrange the performance, will also perform.
The eight-hour event run by the International Resident movement and the World Health Organization (WHO) is being live-streamed and broadcast on TV.

The event will likewise be telling real-life stories of nurses and doctors combating the coronavirus break out.
Profits created from the show will go to the Covid-19 Uniformity Response Fund for WHO.
