A civilian, who apparently leapt the checkpoints set up by the CRPF and the police, was killed in a shooting on Wednesday in central Kashmir’s Budgam, requiring the authorities to snap Internet in the district as a preventive measure.
A CRPF representative said the civilian, identified as Peer Mehrajudin from Budgam’s Makhama-Beerwah area, was taking a trip in an automobile around 10: 20 a.m. and jumped a checkpoint of the police and once again leapt another of the CRPF’s 141 Battalion.
