Currently, phase 2 and 3 scientific trials of the Oxford vaccine prospect is going on in the UK, phase 3 scientific trial in Brazil and stage 1 and 2 clinical trials in South Africa.

Drugs Controller General of India has offered approval to Serum Institute of India (SII), Pune, to conduct Stage 2 and 3 medical trials of Oxford University-Astra Zeneca– COVID-19 vaccine (COVISHIELD) in India.
