HBO has dropped a new trailer for its Game of Thrones prequel sequence, known as the Residence of the Dragon. The very short teaser (a-minute-and-a-half of) give us a fleet behold into the annoying politics of Westeros and the general homes vying to announce the Iron Throne.
The 10-episode sequence which starts on August 21, shall be completely accessible on Disney+ Hotstar. For the uninitiated, Residence of the Dragon shall be put 200 years earlier than the events of Game of Thrones, and could per chance per chance merely widely quilt the Targaryen civil battle, often known as the ‘Dance of the Dragon’
The HBO sequence contains a fairly megastar-studded solid of Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Paddy Considine, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. What going to be more moving is that it’ll be partly helmed by Miguel Sapochnik, who’s been to blame for just a few of the handiest episodes within the sequence, like ‘Hardhome,’ and ‘Battle of the Bastards.’
Collectively with extra pleasure, author George R.R. Martin seems to be good sufficient with how the prequel is shaping up to be. Support in February, when the sequence had carried out filming, he posted a expose on his weblog:
“I in actual fact comprise considered tough cuts of just a few of them, and I’m loving them,” Martin wrote. “For certain, far more work desires to be executed. Particular results, colour timing, gain, and the general submit-production work. Nonetheless the writing, the directing, and the performing all behold terrific. I’m hoping which you would possibly per chance like them as much as I enact. My hat is off to [showrunners] Ryan [J. Condal] and Miguel [Sapochnik] and their group, and to our unbelievable solid.”
