The construction work of the bridge on Kharera river in Navsari district of Gujarat for the Bullet Train project has been completed on 29 October. All nine (09) river bridges have been constructed between Vapi and Surat Bullet Train Station for the corridor. Construction of 12 river bridges out of 20 river bridges in the state of Gujarat has been completed. It is the 12th river bridge completed out of 20 river bridges in the state of Gujarat.

Highlights of Kharera River Bridge:

* Length of the bridge: 120 meters.

* It has 3 full span girders (40 meters each).

* Height of piers – 14.5 meters to 19 meters.

* It has one (01) circular pier of 4 meter diameter and three (03) circular piers of 5 meter diameter.

* This bridge is between Vapi and Bilimora bullet train stations. Bridges on Kolak, Par, Auranga and Kaveri rivers have been completed between these two stations.

* This river is one of the tributaries of the Ambika River, which originates in the hills of Vansda Taluka in the border area of ​​Maharashtra state with Gujarat state.

* Kharera River is about 45 kilometers from Vapi Bullet Train Station and 6 kilometers from Bilimora Bullet Train Station.

Talking about the 12 river bridges to be completed in Gujarat, Kharera (Navsari district), Par (Valsad district), Purna (Navsari district), Mindhola (Navsari district), Ambika (Navsari district), between Vapi and Surat Bullet Train Station. Aurangabad (Valsad district), Kolak River (Valsad district), Kaveri River (Navsari district) and Vengania (Navsari district). Apart from these, if we talk about three bridges then there are Dhadar (Vadodara district), Mohar (Kheda district), Vatrak (Kheda district).
