A trailer truck carrying migrants hit a DCM vehicle in the early hours of Saturday in Auraiya district, cops stated.
Twenty-four migrant workers were eliminated and numerous others hurt after a truck they were taking a trip in hit a supply truck near Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh early on Saturday, said authorities.
The trailer truck carrying migrant workers was originating from Rajasthan and the supply truck was coming from Delhi, officials stated.
District Magistrate Auraiya Abhishek Singh stated the incident took place at 3: 30 a.m. Much of the 24 migrants who died belonged to Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, he stated. Fifteen seriously hurt were moved to the Saifai Medical College in Etawah, he said.
The trailer truck was filled with building product and was taking a trip from Bharatpur in Rajasthan towards Gorakhpur.
