43 years, 10 series … British sweat on Indian land, figures in ODIs are scary

India vs England 1st ODI at Nagpur: Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team is now ready for the ODI series against England in their home. The first match of the 3 -match ODI series between the two teams will be played on Thursday (February 6). The match will be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur from 1.30 pm.

In the bilateral ODI series, there has been a strong competition between India and England since the beginning. But on most occasions, the Indian team has seen heavy. But when it comes to the competition on the Indian land, the condition of England becomes very thin.

England figures in ODIs on Indian land are quite scary. This is also the reason that the British sweat in the ODI series on the tour of India. The England team first visited India in November 1981. Then there was a 3 -match ODI series between the two teams.

England did not win ODI series in India for 40 years

The Indian team defeated England 2–1 in this first domestic ODI series. Since then, in 43 years, a total of 10 bilateral ODI series have been played between the two teams on Indian grounds. In this, the Indian team won 7, while England won the same series. 2 series have been drawn.

England won the ODI series on Indian land in December 1984. Then Team India was defeated 4–1 in the 5-match series. Since then, the Indian team has not lost the ODI series against England in their home. The Indian team’s invincible chariot remains intact for 40 years.
