WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump is promising new executive action on migration as he goes back to the defining problem of his administration. topic_confusing-statements” frmappuse=”1″ href=”https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/confusing-statements” styleobj=”[object Object]”>< a class ="" data-ga =" within_article-topic_link topic_confusing-statements" frmappuse =" 1" href =" https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/confusing-statements" styleobj ="[object Object] "> confusing declarationsabout his plans in recent days.

His comments come after the Supreme Court declined his efforts to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program, which protects young immigrants gave the nation as children.

Trump stated last month that he would rapidly be filing documents to deal with the court’s issues, but has yet to make a relocation.

The latest confusion about Trump’s thinking started with a Telemundo interview previously this month in which the president said he would quickly be “signing an immigration bill”– “a very good costs and merit-based costs”– which “among the aspects of the expense is going to be DACA.” “We’re going to have a roadway to citizenship,” he added.

The problem: No such costs exists to sign and there is no appetite in Congress to wade into the dissentious issue with four months to precede the election and in the middle of a pandemic.
