A shocking scam has been unearthed in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. A clerk of Tehsildar’s office has been accused of scam of 11 crores. For this, he showed 279 people dead in the papers. People are surprised after this revelation.

Scam came to light in audit

Recently, when the audit took place in the Revenue Department, this scam came to the fore. In the audit, 40 such bank accounts were revealed in which relief money was deposited two to three times. A total of 40 such accounts of 8 banks have been put on hold. In the order letter uploaded on the portal of the Revenue Department, everything from letter pay to seal and sign has been found to be fake.

According to Harish Lalwani, Tehsildar of Kevalari, “This scam was done between March 2020 and October 2022. During this time no one even got to know about the news. After the matter came to light, an FIR was lodged at the Kevalari police station. Has been suspended. Departmental inquiry is underway”.

SP Ramji Srivastava said, “On the complaint of the Tehsildar, a case has been registered against the accused clerk under the relevant sections. Who else are involved in the case, it is being investigated. The accused clerk is still absconding, whose arrest being raided for”.
