NEW DELHI: The national capital is entirely under prohibitory orders for the first time. Delhi Police imposed Section 144 of the CrPC from 9pm on Sunday to implement the lockdown necessitated by the novel coronavirus outbreak. The order will remain in force till March 31.
With all of Haryana under Section 144 and Noida and Ghaziabad as well, it means the restrictions that don’t allow five or more people to gather in one place now extend across the vast urban sprawl of Delhi-NCR. Delhi Police will allow no demonstrations, processions, protests or social gatherings.
