In a conversation with Humans of Bombay, Aamir told that when he was 10 years old, his family saw very difficult times. The actor said that his father had taken loans on interest for the film, but that film could not be made for almost 8 years. Remembering the old days, Aamir became so emotional that he left the interview midway and took some time to calm himself.
Why did Aamir feel pain seeing Abba Jaan?
Aamir came back in the interview and told that he often gets upset remembering the old days and his eyes fill with tears. Aamir said- The things that used to hurt the most at that time were seeing Abba Jaan, because he was a very simple person. Perhaps he did not understand that he should not have taken so much loan.
Aamir further told that the tickets of the films were sold in black, due to which even the producers often did not get their money. Aamir also told that many films of his father had also run, but still he never had money. It was painful to see him in trouble because he used to get calls from those people from whom he had taken money. Their quarrel used to start on the phone itself, that what should I do, I do not have money. My film is stuck, give me dates to my actors, what should I do.
Aamir said that his father tried his best to return people’s money. He told that Mahesh Bhatt was also surprised to get his money back, because he had given up hope for it.
Aamir Khan also told that even though he faced financial crisis in his childhood, his school fees were always paid on time. The actor also told that his mother used to buy long pants for him and fold them from the bottom and wear them, so that the pants could last for a long time.
