Before the assembly elections in Maharashtra, Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of late NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, has joined Ajit Pawar-led NCP. Zeeshan Siddiqui is currently the Congress MLA from Bandra East seat and is contesting this election on NCP ticket. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), a member of Maha Vikas Aghadi, has given ticket to Varun Desai from Bandra East.
As soon as Ajit Pawar joined NCP with ‘clock’ election symbol, he gave ticket to Zeeshan from his own seat, Bandra East. Apart from this, tickets have been given to Nishikant Patil from Islampur, Sanjaykaka Ramchandra Patil from Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahakal, Sana Malik from Anushakti Nagar, Sunil Tingre from Vadgaon Sheri, Dnyaneshwar (Mauli) Katke from Shirur and Pratap Patil from Loha.

Let us tell you that Zeeshan is the son of late NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. He is the former president of Mumbai Youth Congress and MLA from Bandra East assembly seat. His father Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Bandra area of Mumbai on the night of Dussehra. The Crime Branch has so far arrested 11 accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, including two shooters and a weapons supplier.
Shiv Sena (UBT) released the list of candidates
Uddhav Thackeray’s party Shiv Sena (UBT), included in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), released a list of candidates on Thursday. Uddhav Thackeray’s party has released its first list of 65 candidates. In this list, Uddhav’s party has broken a tradition of the Thackeray family. Uddhav Thackeray has also fielded a candidate against his cousin Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray.
Elections will be held in Maharashtra on 20th November
Voting will be held for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra on November 20. The results will be declared on 23 November. In the last elections, BJP had got 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats. However, after the elections, Shiv Sena separated from NDA and formed the government with NCP-Congress. Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray became the Chief Minister.
There was internal discord in Shiv Sena in June 2022. After this Eknath Shinde dismissed 40 MLAs of the party. Eknath Shinde became Chief Minister with the support of BJP. Now Shiv Sena is divided into two groups. Sharad Pawar’s NCP has also divided into two factions – Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar.
