India has expressed objection to the incident of alleged misbehavior and detention of a woman from Arunachal Pradesh at Shanghai Airport in China. India has warned China to avoid any arbitrary action.
The Indian government said that such steps would prove extremely detrimental to building the mutual trust and understanding needed to normalize bilateral relations.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said during a press briefing on Wednesday that India has lodged a strong objection to this issue and has raised it with Chinese officials in both Delhi and Beijing. He said that to restore normal relations between India and China, it is very important to maintain peace and harmony on the border. Jaiswal said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral and inseparable part of India, and this is the fact. No matter how much denial is done by the Chinese, this undeniable reality is not going to change.
