Let us tell you that the G7 summit is being organized in Apulia, Italy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed by Italian Prime Minister Meloni upon his arrival at the summit. Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a video message that the Prime Minister of India reached Brindisi Airport in Italy to participate in the G7 summit. During his visit to Italy, PM Modi participated in the Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Africa-Mediterranean Summit, which was hosted by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. Pope Francis also attended it. During this, bilateral talks were also held between the Pope and PM Modi.

Before arriving at the G7 Summit, PM Modi met French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During this, regarding the meeting of PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, the Ministry of External Affairs said that a strong and reliable strategic partnership between India and France is important for a stable and prosperous global system. Both the leaders agreed to further enhance strategic defense cooperation along with paying more attention to ‘Make in India’. French President Emmanuel Macron, in his address, praised Prime Minister Modi’s initiative on AI and DPI regarding the presidency of the G-20.
