Israel and America attacked Iran on Saturday. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint attack by Israel and America. After Khamenei’s death, Iran retaliated by firing missiles at Israel and targeted American military bases in the Middle East including UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait.

Amidst the ongoing war in Iran, people of Shia community are protesting in many countries including Pakistan and Iraq. After Khamenei’s death, people of Shia community in Pakistan also took to the streets. From major cities like Islamabad, Lahore to Skardu, protests in Pakistan became fierce and violent.

During the violent protests, protesters in Pakistan vandalized and set fire to the offices of the US Embassy. During this period, 35 people have lost their lives in the firing by security personnel. These deaths occurred in violence during anti-America protests after Khamenei’s death across Pakistan.

Protestors are on the streets in Pakistan. Bullets are being fired on the streets and the situation is continuously worsening. In view of the security situation, the US Embassy in Pakistan has canceled all appointments for visas and services for American citizens. The Embassy has asked American employees not to go out and has advised American citizens to avoid crowds, keep an eye on the situation around them, and be cautious.

Pakistani celebs are also mourning the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. Pakistan’s famous TV host Rabia Anam burst into tears during the live show itself. At the same time, Pakistani actress Yumna Zaidi has said in a social media post that she is deeply shocked by Khamenei’s death.
