Biden called PM Modi a friend, said

Describing India as a strong partner of America, US President Joe Biden said that he is eager to support his friend Modi during India’s presidency of the G20. India has officially got the chairmanship of G20 from last December.

US President Biden tweeted on Friday, “India is a strong partner of America and I look forward to supporting my friend Prime Minister Modi during India’s G20 presidency.” Along with this, Biden said that both the countries will pursue sustainable and inclusive development by tackling common challenges like climate, energy and food crisis.

Will work to further promote unity

Last Thursday i.e. on December 1, PM Modi had said that the G20 presidency would work to further promote unity, inspired by the theme of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’. The biggest challenges we are facing like climate change, terrorism and pandemics cannot be solved by fighting each other, but by working together.

India’s agenda inclusive, ambitious: Jaishankar

Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar wrote – The chairmanship of G20 will work to promote the universal spirit of unity. Our G20 priorities will be shaped in consultation not only with partners but also with our fellow travelers in the Global South. PM Modi’s words underline that today’s big challenges can be solved not by fighting with each other but by working together. India’s agenda will be inclusive, ambitious, action oriented and decisive.

PM Modi launched the logo on November

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the G-20 logo, theme and website on 8 November. During this he had said that this is a historic opportunity for India. In this released logo, the lotus flower is depicting India’s mythological heritage, our faith, our intellectuality. We have given a message through this logo and theme. Buddha’s message for war, Mahatma Gandhi’s solution to resist violence, through G20, India is giving new energy to their global reputation.

G-20 countries represent 85% of GDP

G20 i.e. Group of 20 countries, it is an intergovernmental forum of major developed and developing economies of the world. This includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and the European Union. In the conference, terrorism, economic problems, global warming, health and other important issues are discussed. PM Modi said in November that the G-20 is a group of countries whose economic potential represents 85% of the world’s GDP, which represents 75% of the world’s trade, which contains two-thirds of the world’s population.
