From June 13, Vande flights to cover Africa
The world’s largest-ever repatriation exercise, Vande Bharat Mission, will now enter the third phase from June 13. Phase III will see India sending repatriation flights to Africa for the first time. Meanwhile, aviation minister HS Puri on Thursday countered fears that Air India fares under the exercise are high. “While rates being charged are not normal commercial rates, they are reasonable when compared to other evacuation flights ,” he said in a series of tweets.
