BENGALURU: Karnataka on Monday banned till May 31 entry of people into the state from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu — which have seen a spike in Covid-19 cases in the recent weeks.
Chief minister BS Yediyurappa said they will review the decision depending on the situation prevailing at that time and after considering requests from those states.
However, Karnataka will allow people from other states, including Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with whom the state shares its border, in a staggered manner. The restriction will not apply to people who have already registered their names on Seva S
