airplane neglected 3 warnings from the
air traffic controllers
about the airplane’s elevation and speed before the landing, according to media reports on Monday.
The crash of the nationwide flag provider’s flight PK-8303 on Friday, in which 97 individuals were eliminated and two astonishingly survived, is among the most devastating air travel disasters in Pakistan’s aviation history.
The Jet A-320 aircraft from Lahore to Karachi was 15 nautical miles from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, flying at an altitude of 10,000 feet in the air rather of 7,000 when the Air Traffic Control (ATC) provided its first warning to lower the airplane’s altitude, Geo News estimated an ATC report as stating.
Instead of decreasing the altitude, the pilot reacted by stating that he was satisfied. When just 10 nautical miles were left till the airport, the aircraft was at an altitude of 7,000 feet instead of 3,000 feet, it stated.
The ATC issued a second caution to the pilot to decrease the airplane’s altitude.
