NEW DELHI: Total number of coronavirus cases in India stood at 96,169 as of Monday after a record jump of 5,242 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. With the death of 157 more people, the total death toll stood at 3,029. As per the ministry, India’s recovery rate is 38.29 per cent.

DELHI

  • Six employees of OPPO factory in Greater Noida test positive for Covid-19. All operations at the factory have been suspended.
  • Monday witnessed a heavy traffic congestion at toll booth on Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway.

  • Telangana hospitals to perform elective surgeries after a month, battle huge backlog.
  • After keeping medical electives services in Telangana on hold for nearly a month, state health authorities have ordered restoration of all services in government hospitals with immediate effect.
