An FIR has been registered against 65 villagers who created ruckus after the death of a donkey in Buxar district. An FIR has been registered against 65 villagers who created ruckus after the death of a donkey in Buxar district of Bihar. Police said that the villagers created a ruckus, objecting to the interruption of electricity supply and the death of the animal. A section of villagers have also lodged a police complaint against some officials of the electricity department.

The incident took place in Kesath block of the district. Actually, a donkey had died due to electric shock in Rampur village. After this the villagers held the electricity department responsible and reached the power center to register their objection. After the uproar during this period, the SDO of the Electricity Department has lodged an FIR against 65 people of the village.

The villagers here gathered outside the local power grid station and demanded compensation for the death of the donkey. Some villagers entered the power grid station and cut off electricity supply to the area, a police officer said. Only after the intervention of senior officials the supply could be restored after about 3 hours.

He said that later a senior official of the state electricity department lodged a complaint against the villagers for disrupting power supply and creating hindrance in the work of government employees. SP Shubham Arya said, based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against 65 villagers for disrupting power supply in the area for three hours. Some villagers have also filed a complaint against the department officials on this issue. The case is being investigated.
