The blast that Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ created in theaters on Friday, resonated even more loudly on Saturday. After a strong opening, the film took a solid jump on the second day. On the basis of solid reviews and strong word of mouth, the film has crossed half-century in just two days.

Box office collection of ‘Dhurandhar’
On Friday, Ranveer’s film had collected Rs 28.60 crore. This is the third biggest opening collection of this year. The atmosphere created before the release provided a strong start. But the growth of the second day was to decide what the future of the film would be.

Estimates from trade reports suggest that ‘Dhurandhar’ has collected in the range of Rs 33 crore to Rs 35 crore on the second day. That means it got a jump of about 20% on the second day itself. Within two days the film has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. ‘Dhurandhar’ has made a total net collection of around Rs 62 crores.

Chance of Rs 100 crore in 3 days
The reviews of ‘Dhurandhar’ are mostly positive. The public is not tired of praising the film on social media. The performance of hero Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and Rakesh Bedi is being appreciated a lot. These praises and good reviews will give ‘Dhurandhar’ a jump at the box office on Sunday also.

Compared to Saturday, films get a slightly smaller jump on Sunday. If Sunday brings a jump of 12% for ‘Dhurandhar’, then there is every chance that the collection on the third day can reach around Rs. 38 crores. That means ‘Dhurandhar’ has every chance of scoring a century at the box office in the first weekend itself.

This year only two films have done this feat so far. Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ and Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’. ‘Dhurandhar’, which scored a century in the weekend, can become the third film of this year. Director Aditya Dhar is all set to deliver another big box office hit after ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ (2019).

Ranveer Singh had delivered the Rs 300 crore blockbuster ‘Padmavat’ and the Rs 200 crore superhit ‘Simmba’ in 2018. Since then he has not got such a big hit. His 7 year long wait with ‘Dhurandhar’ is also going to end.
