Don’t allow religious gatherings, processions during lockdown: MHA to states

NEW DELHI: The home ministry has cautioned all states and Union territories against allowing any social or religious gathering or procession during upcoming festivals like Easter, Baisakhi, Bohag Bihu, Vishu, etc.

Easter falls on Sunday, Baisakhi on April 13 and Bohag Bihu/Vishu on April 14. While the duration of 21-day lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from March 25 ends on April 14, some states have already extended the same. Decision on extending nationwide lockdown is expected to be taken in a couple of days.
