Commission asks Delhi Cops to remove Mr. Deo from any poll-related work.
The Election Commission on Wednesday asked the Delhi cops to issue a cautioning to Deputy Commissioner of Authorities (Criminal Offense Branch) Rajesh Deo for openly speaking about the link between the AAP and the guy who fired at the protest at Shaheen Bagh.
The EC composed to Delhi Cops Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, asking that Mr. Deo be gotten rid of from any work associated to the Delhi Assembly election.
Mr. Deo told the media on Tuesday that Kapil Gujjar, the guy collared for firing in Shaheen Bagh last week, and his father had actually signed up with the AAP last year.
” The Commission is of the thought about view that the above-referred statements describing a political party at this stage even as the investigation is still on has the result of negatively impacting the elections,” the EC wrote.
