These streams were Nalini, Hridini, Pavani, Sita, Chakshus, Sindhu and Bhagirathi. Bhagirathi became Ganga and was considered Mokshadayini in Hinduism. She is also called Parvati’s sister at some places. She still resides in Shiva’s matted locks.
