In the wake of countrywide protests against the Agnipath diagram, the Centre has announced 10 per cent reservation for Agniveers, along with a revision within the upper age restrict, within the recruitment of CAPF and Assam Rifles.

In the wake of broad protests against the Agnipath diagram, the Centre on Saturday announced 10 per cent reservation for Agniveers within the recruitment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also made up our minds to give three years of age relaxation in its 17.5-21 years eligibility criteria for recruitment of Agniveers in CAPFs and Assam Rifles. Notably, the first batch of recruits will rep a relaxation of five years past the prescribed upper age restrict.

The Centre on Tuesday, June 14, unveiled the Agnipath short-term recruitment diagram for the defense force. Meant to be a reformative step, the diagram targets to infuse extra younger blood within the three products and companies.

The Agnipath diagram will allow children susceptible 17.5 to 21 to be inducted into any of the three products and companies of the Military as “agniveers” for a duration of four years.

Protests against Agnipath bear erupted in quite a lot of states since Wednesday. In a one-time waiver, the central executive increased the upper age restrict for the diagram from 21 to 23 years amid violent protests by aspirants.
