Hands tied with medical tape, suspicious circumstances … bodies of such husband and wife found in the house, police suspect suicide

A man and his wife were found dead in a rented house near Eratupata on Monday morning in Kottayam, Kerala. His bodies have been recovered from the spot by the police. In this case, the police suspect that this is a case of suicide.

Police said the dead have been identified in a private hospital as Nursing Superintendent Rashmi (35) and her husband Vishnu (36), who were a contract worker. The couple were living in a rented house in Panayapalam for the last six months.

This incident came to light when Vishnu’s mother could not contact her on the phone. After questioning by neighbors, both were found dead, their hands were tied to medical adhesive tapes. Police said that the bodies of Vishnu and Rashmi were found lying close to each other.

Although the initial investigation of the case is indicating suicide, the police said that further investigation is going on to find out the exact cause of death. The bodies of both have been sent for post -mortem.
