Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s daughter Himayani Puri has filed a defamation case in the Delhi High Court over alleged false and malicious news going on against her. In these reports, his name has been linked to convicted American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In her petition, Himayani Puri has sought instructions from the court to direct various social media platforms to immediately remove the alleged false and defamatory posts posted against her from different handles.
Besides, Himayani Puri has also demanded a compensation of Rs 10 crore from the accused social media handles for the damage caused to her image by these posts. Social media platforms and many social media handles have been made parties in the petition. Apart from this, a demand has also been made to issue orders against ‘John Doe’ (unknown persons), so that such objectionable and defamatory material can be removed from the internet.

According to the defamation petition, since February 22, 2026, allegations are being made on many social media accounts and platforms that Himayani Puri has direct or indirect business, financial or personal connections with Jeffrey Epstein or his crime network. The petition also states that ‘Real Partners LLC’, one of the companies where she worked, was accused of receiving funding from Epstein or his associates.
It was also claimed that Robert Millard along with Himayani Puri had conspired for the downfall of Lehman Brothers. However, in Himayani Puri’s petition, all these allegations have been described as completely baseless and fabricated. It said that these allegations were made viral on social media through edited videos, misleading captions and manipulated thumbnails, thereby trying to cause serious damage to his image. It has also been said in the petition that Himayani Puri is being targeted only because she is the daughter of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The hearing of this case is likely to be held in Delhi High Court on Tuesday or Wednesday.
