The alleged incident of helicopter theft in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has caught fire on social media. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on law and order regarding this matter. However, after police investigation it was declared to be merely a case of misunderstanding.
According to the agency, the police said that the complaint was lodged by pilot Ravindra Singh of SAR Aviation Service Private Limited. It was alleged that his firm’s helicopter had been stolen. Ravindra Singh claimed that in May some people had loaded the helicopter in a truck and taken it away. When I talked to them about this, they beat me up.
After this complaint, this matter came into limelight on social media. After this, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav targeted the law and order of the state. Citing the case of ‘helicopter theft’, he has shared the post on his social media handle X.

After this post of Akhilesh Yadav, the police replied and said that Ravindra Singh had complained of theft. He did not know that the helicopter had been sold by SAR Aviation Service Private Limited to some other firm.
In this case, Circle Officer Antriksh Jain said that investigation has revealed that the concerned helicopter was sold by Ravindra Singh’s company to some other firm. On the day of the alleged theft, the new owners had taken the helicopter away by truck. Ravindra Singh was not aware of the sale of the helicopter. The new company did not do anything wrong in this.
Police said that the allegations of assault and abuse made by Ravindra Singh were also not proved during the investigation. Earlier, Senior Superintendent of Police (Meerut) Vipin Tanda had said that this incident was not of theft but of a dispute between two partners of the aviation company.
Ravindra Singh had lodged a complaint of theft at Partapur police station. According to the police, the complainant had claimed that some people had unauthorizedly taken away the helicopter parked at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar airstrip. The helicopter was taken away in a truck.

Regarding Ravindra Singh’s complaint, Pandey said that he has no information about it. I don’t know anything. As far as Ravindra Singh is concerned, he is no longer in our company. GC Pandey said that the helicopter about which there was so much talk was sold in 2023 itself.
