A picture of the cockpit of an aircraft is going viral on social media, in which the pilot of the aircraft can be seen holding gujiyas and beverages on the console of the cockpit. SpiceJet has made both its pilots off roster (removal from flying duty) as soon as the matter caught fire. The plane whose picture is there had taken off from Delhi and landed in Guwahati. The airline spokesperson clarified on the matter and said that its investigation is pending.

The incident of the day of Holi
According to SpiceJet officials, the pilots by doing so put flight safety at risk. This incident happened on the day of Holi (March 8, 2023), when Spice Jet’s aircraft took off from Delhi to Guwahati. According to information received by India Today, both the pilots have been removed from the roster and the matter is under investigation. Commenting on the incident, a spokesperson of SpiceJet airline said that eating inside the cockpit is strictly prohibited. It is followed by all flight crew. “Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken after the completion of the probe,” he said.

could have been a big accident

In the photo that has surfaced, it is seen that the pilot has Gujiya in his hand and drinks are kept on the console of the cockpit. According to experts, if even a drop of drink had gone inside the console, then there was a possibility of a big accident. Aviation regulatory body DGCA also took cognizance of this after the picture went viral and asked SpiceJet to take appropriate steps.

This matter came to light a few days back
Let us tell you that a few days ago, there was a heated argument between the passengers and the crew in a SpiceJet flight going to Patna. The flight was delayed due to an operational problem. A passenger on board the flight (8721) going from Delhi to Patna had told that the scheduled time of departure from Terminal 3 of the airport was 7.20 am, but the flight took off at around 10.10 am. Airline staff initially said that the flight was delayed due to bad weather, but then cited technical reasons as the reason for the delay. The delayed departure left many people fuming at the airport and had a heated argument with the airline personnel.
