Indian Army workers were eliminated after being struck with rocks and iron clubs by Chinese PLA, states official.

A senior government authorities informed The Hindu that the impact of the clashes was so serious that the government had to wait for the precise information to emerge, only after which Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued one of the first statements on Wednesday at 12.

The clash, the first in the past 45 years, came in the middle of a “de-escalation” procedure that was begun last week after a month-long stand-off between soldiers at several points along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh and Sikkim.
