US President Donald Trump has once again credited the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He claimed that he played an important role in reducing tension between the two countries through trade talks. However, India had already rejected these claims of Trump and said that any issue related to Jammu and Kashmir would be resolved bilaterally between India and Pakistan.

During a meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the White House, Trump said, ‘If you see what we did with Pakistan and India, we have solved the whole matter and I think I solved it through trade. We are making a big deal with India-Pakistan … You know that there was a fierce firing between the two countries. We talked to the leaders of both countries and resolved the entire issue.

India destroyed terrorist hideouts

Actually, India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. India launched a missile operation and destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. After this, Pakistan fired on the international border and tried to attack a drone attack along the Indian border, which was destroyed in the air by the Indian air defense system. After this whole incident, tension between the two countries was increasing.

India rejected Trump’s claim

At the same time, before India announced the ceasefire agreement with Pakistan, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between India and Pakistan by posting a post on social media. And claimed that he played an important role in the ceasefire.

India has already rejected these claims of Trump. The Ministry of External Affairs further said that the ‘business issue’ has not arisen between Indian and American leaders since the start of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and ceasefire.

The Ministry of External Affairs further said, ‘From the onset of Operation Sindoor on May 7, there was talk of emerging military situation between Indian and American leaders, from the onset of Operation Sindoor to firing and military action on May 10. But the issue of business did not arise in any of these discussions.
